Christmas Jammies

My kids are the kids that don't care what the temperature is outside, they will wear winter PJ's in the heat of the summer.  I mean the fleecy, footed kind.  They just don't care!  So I didn't debate buying them extra PJ's at Christmas time.  I just know they will wear them until they are too small, no matter the weather.

I really had a hard time getting a cute picture of all of them together.  I wanted to get a shot where everyone had their eyes open, where you could actually see the front of their shirts, and I wanted a shot without this strange scary grin they've been giving the camera lately.

Alex chose Santa, Abby chose a gingerbread baby, and I chose a reindeer for Aubrey.  My sweeties.

Halloween

This year the kids went as a police officer and I had two Cinderella's.  I was a little worried about if I was going to be able to make it because I haven't been feeling up to par and have been having a hard time with my c-section recovery and some blood pressure issues.  So I took some pain medicine and decided to suck it up so the kids could have fun.  Brad had to work, so it was me and the 3 kiddos.

For the past 4 years we have done the same thing.  We go with our friends, the Waltons, and go to a trunk or treat at a local church and then come back to the neighborhood for trick or treating.

It was fun and the kids had such a good time!  I think it was 9:00 before we got home.  They were exhausted!

Peaches

One of the things I remember from my childhood is going with the family to Porter to pick peaches. We always got so itchy!  But it was fun and the reward was delicious!  My dad had the kids one day and decided to drive to Porter and let the kids pick peaches.  He said they had a fun time and they came home with quite a few peaches.  They were so delicious!  I'm so glad my kids got to go!

Cupcakes

I have had the most insane craving for cupcakes, especially at night.  Of course, we never have any and by the time I think about wanting one, it's too late to go to the store.  I got smart and bought a cake mix and frosting at the store.  The kids were so excited to help make cupcakes!

Alex's aunt is in culinary school, and she made him this little apron and chef hat combo.  Every time we bake or he helps me cook, he gets this out and puts it on.  It's so cute!

After they cooled, we frosted them with the BEST icing.  My best friend introduced it to me and it is amazing!  Cool Whip Frosting!  (in the freezer section with Cool Whip)

Then came the fun part-sprinkles!  Alex was very careful and decorated his and mine so nicely. Abby got a little excited and hers turned out very sugary, but very age appropriate! :)

They were really good and we each had 2.  Yum!!!

Cute Pictures

I finally took some pictures of the kids in their big brother/big sister shirts.  My good friend Melina made Alex's and she would have made Abby's, too, but I couldn't find a plain black shirt for her to use in a timely manner.  Luckily, Kohl's saved the day for me!

We had such a fun time during this "photo shoot".  Usually it is full of whining, not smiling, no cooperation, etc., but this time the kids were so happy and it made taking the pictures so fun and easy!  Here are some of my favorites from today!
